I would call them rather than risk doing something that will set the lines. Does yours have the blue ink on it, or did they use something else to show better on the black fabric?

I did press it from the back, but before I did I checked with the company (The Stencil Company) and they told me it's fine as long as I use a dry heat. The directions specfically say "When quilting is finished and binding is applied, soak in COLD water to remove the blue ink (30-60 minutes). If soiled, use detergent after lines are removed." ???????
