We are paying $1.40 per litre for petrol. With 5 litres to the gallon (8 pints), we are paying $7.00 per gallon! Now they are talking of taxing petrol - and the family home!!!
No public transport of any form out here, so I'll be doing even more on-line shopping. The big retailers are complaining about losing business to on-line shopping, but their prices are NOT competitive.
I'm almost a hermit as it is, only taking the car out once a fortnight to do the grocery shopping, and once a month to a quilt group.
