I call it that for lack of the name. I had one when I was a little girl that my great grandmother made. It was a combo of flowers and squairs and instead of tying it, she sewed little buttons in the middle of the flowers and squairs and on all the corners. The buttons were small and flat and all different colors. When I moved the box it was in got lost, or thrown away, and I lost it forever. I loved that quilt and would love to make one for my grandaughters... has anyone ever seen one like that, or did my great grandmother just come up with the idea on her own.
