Up until recently I did. There isn't a lot of room for myself and 2 dogs in my sewing room - my girls are big (they are my avatar.) A quilting friend from this board told me she sometimes has her dogs lay down by the door and I thought that was a great idea! It is too easy to trip over them and I don't want to step on them. This way my girls can be close by.
