Why are you going to the shower? She sounds rude to me, oh she sounds like a Bridezilla. I would give her a card and a gift certificate for $25.00 and skip the shower and the wedding both, since you do not socialize with her. Sounds like she is just looking for gifts I also like the going in with someone on a bigger gift too, espceially if you go to the shower. Do not give a wedding gift.
