As the mother of a sewing machine mechanic I can tell you, Please read your manual from beginning to end. You will learn all kinds of good advice from them. Most do not read them. Anytime you change machines it is a new learning experience and one that takes some time. I urge you to set up a uninterrupted time to just sit and play around with your new toy.
