This is a quilt that I just completed making for a customer. The blocks were made back in the 1930s for her mother at the time of her marriage by friends and family members (see embroidered block in center of quilt). She gave me the blocks and I created a design of setting them on point with sashing between them and then assembled the top and quilted it. It measures 89" x 96". As you can see in each of the following photos, the embroidery handwork by each person who made a block for the new bride is exceptional.

P.S. The bride who these blocks were made for passed away years ago, but her daughter has had them all these years. She's really excited to get these finally made up into a quilt to honor her mother's memory.
