I made all the blocks 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 but when it came to making the angle blocks it seemed to be too small to fit. So I went and made them 3 7/8 x 3 7/8 and when I did the 1/4 inch seam they were also too small to fit in the 3 1/2 blocks. so I ripped the 1/4 seem and made them smaller which seemed to fit very well. What size should I have made them to fit correctly with 1/4 inch seems. And will it hurt my quilt if the seams are smaller.
Macie, one thing I have learned is to sew your 1/4 in seam and then accurately measure the finished seam, sometimes our tools that are supposed to make 1/4 inch seams are not accurate. As far as hurting the finished project, you just might want to quilt it a little closer to strengthen it if your seams are smaller., Rita
