to be honest if she is in a group home I wouldn't give her something that valuable. My daughter was in one and the others that are there took the afghans and sweaters and other things I made and sent to her. so I would think twice about it. I'm just beginning to quilt and it takes a lot of time.Maybe something else would be better. good luck.
