Thanks, everybody, I am even (finally) happy with the colours (for Mom, anyway), its called a spicy sprial tablerunner and is actually very easy to make, despite *(I think), looking difficult to do. Whips up pretty quick, even for me. I have lent my pattern out but the expensive ppart is the ruler (I have a 10 degree ruler but it calls for a 9 degree, very expensive in Canada (39.95 plus)
