Hello friends at the quilting board. First off I'd like to say that everything I've seen and read on this site just radiates warmth, friendliness and very good vibes and I am glad that our paths have crossed. I am new to quilting, have had the want to do quilting for years now but just haven't put my all into it.

About 10 years ago I developed neuropathy in my feet and haven't worked since. I do encourage activities that keep me off my feet and believe quilting is a perfect activity. I have done about 8 cross stitch pictures now and really love the art work and what it is all about and it sure helps to pass the time.

All of the pictures I've seen of everyone's work here is just beautiful and can't wait to start creating. I attached a pic of my first work/attempt. A long time ago I read about this pattern where you sew 2 squares through the middle, then cut in 1/2 and sew another square then cut that in 1/2, it still needs work (like how do you get the squares aligned and all your lines straight?) but I am happy how it turned out.

Everybody have a great day and I'll be talking to you soon. Peace. -Paul
