I met James Drury back in the 70's when he came to a nearby town for a play he and Carolyn Jones were in. I waited around after the play for a few minutes, hoping I could catch him when he left and get a picture and autograph. He very graciously let me take his picture and get his autograph. He didn't have a pen so he used mine and I still have it. Then he used it to sign a few more and then he walked up the hill in front of us looking back. The Virginian was my very favorite show growing up and I would never have thought I would meet him in person.
