Yippee. I found a piece of that fabric in my scrap box. Almost like I knew 7 years ago that I would need it.
Actually the dog does not purposely chew on the quilt. As I had said,he likes to take his bones to bed. I have a quilt in shades of brown and dark red that is folded at the foot of the bed and he has not bothered it. Since this quilt was in a lump (my fault. took a nap yesterday and did not re-fold it) I think a bit got in his mouth as he was enjoying his bone. The comforter on the bed is old and worn and I let the cats and dog lay on it because it is soft. Anyway. I have a piece to use to repair. Now I just have to get up the courage to start ripping.
