'Funny you should ask: I made one or my uncle. He was a retired Marine. He lived in the VA home at Hanson, KY. Wonderful place! The quilt was made in vibrant blues that just matched his eyes. In fact, that's how I selected the colors. He proudly displayed it as his top cover. Unfortunately, due to the need for many washings, the color faded to greys. I know they have touse harsh detergents and bleach because of sanitation issues. The qwuilt is still intact, but faded. His daughter has it. I used 100% LQS cotton, Warm and Natural and machine quilted it.
