I use fusable Pellon on the inside. If you did what I am always doing; accidently slicing the fabric in the seam line when using the seam ripper. I press a light weight fusable Pellon to the inside of the seam area covering the cut spot and surrounding area about 2 inches. Then I just sew the seam. Check the exposed area, and if I see the slit area is on the outside, I use fray check and let it dry. If that doesn't work, I applique. By the way, just love your quilt.
