Yep, I'm always having little accidents like that.
If you have sticky stabilizer (which is mainly used for embroidery) cut a little piece to cover the tear. Peel off the backing and place the sticky part over the tear. Works wonders and stays strong, too. You can even sew right over top of it.
If you need a piece of sticky, I will send you a scrap. I save just about every piece because you can repair with it!!
