I have met:
Charlie Pride.....my moms favorite country singer
My sister and I were lil kids and begged our parents to let us try to get closer to the stage to see Charlie Pride (Mom's fave)at the Michigan state fair grounds. We made it to the stage and he motioned to security we were okay to lean on the stage and watch him. He shook our hands while he was singing. When he was done with that song, I asked him to sign an autograph for my mom that absolutely loved him. He did! We stood there for several songs before dad took us back with the famiy.
Rosie Greer...I worked at an airport gift shop while in college. One midnight shift, he stopped in and bought 1/2# chocolate covered peanuts and signed an autograph after we talked for a few.
Willie Nelson...Michigan State fair grounds. I walked up to the stage shook his hand while he was singing.
Trace Adkins.....many times.....my friends used to say that I was stalking him. Backstage after every concert I have went to. I did travel out of town many times to see him and out of state, 3-4 times. Maybe I was stalking him. Photo/autograph session for a "fan club member" everytime I met him. Even went to a nascar race in TN, cuz he was playing at the race that weekend. He is such a sweet, humbled, southern mannered man and funny. Did I say that he can sing and dance! Not to mention a tall drink of water. I guess Trace is my favorite. But Charlie runs a very close second. The look on my moms face when we told her about shaking hands with him and getting his autograph and leaning on the stage was worth it. He was definitely moms favorite. Dad used to say if I had been a boy my name was going to be Charlie.
