Have you tried heavily starching the homespun? I found it really makes a difference with homespun fabric. And if you make pinwheels try putting the two squares right sides together and then sew a quarter inch around. Then cut from corner to corner. Hope this helps :)
Do you think it's because I'm making my pinwheels so big? Mine are 12". If I made them smaller maybe that might help..
