This was a large full size which I had quilted double feathered wreaths on, so it took about 15 hours of quilting time. He grunted and made a comment about he bet the fabric was even new. Then he went into a loud and lenghty speach about how women these days don't know how to make a quilt. How they (quilts) should be made from scraps of clothing. Should never be made from new material. Should all be done by hand, etc. on and on. I really felt small. I finally folded my quilt and went to my car to wait on my husband.

That is a MOST gorgeous Quilt! What an ignorant, self-important, 'little man'. Just think, I bet he has hairy toes.... yeah. There are just some people who enjoy belittling others in order to feel more self-important. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that doesn't mean that we are entitled to rip other people to shreds by expressing it. Obviously, his mamma didn't teach him right. My GRAND momma would have hit him up side the head with a board to learn him! She would have said... "Huh! Where are your manners?! What-- was you brought up in a barn?" (Like I said, I bet he's got nasty, hairy toes.) lol Yup.

I love that quilt... and I wish I had the courage and knowledge of how to handquilt or even FMQ feathers like that. I'm 'new', so I send mine off to a quilter who knows. One day, I hope to be as skilled as you are..... God bless you. Oh! And here's your hug!!! >>>>>>
