Mom-6, I have posted the measurements for this block in the first section. I did not use the 4 inch with the attached triangles. I used a 6-1/2 square and added the 3.5 squares and did the diagonal line from center to outside, sew on the line and then cut. It is not a hard pattern...it is one 6-1/2 inch (black) block with four 3-1/2 squares for each corner; two 3-7/8 inch blocks of the background and the geese color, and four rectangles 6-1/2 (goose) x eight 3-1/2 squares of the same fabric of the center square blocks. The link posted is to show how to make the flying geese with no waste of fabric by cutting off the corners. It is one 7-1/4 square, with four 3-7/8 squares. The link shows how to place the 3-7/8 inch squares so you will get four flying geese...instead of cutting four separate rectangles and attaching two smaller squares on each side.
