It is equal for all levels of quilt makers. This block pattern is from Quilterscache.com, but is a 6 inch paper pieced pattern. I changed the block to a 12.5 unfinished block. This block consists of one black center piece of 6.5 square. Four rectangles of 6-1/2 by 3-1/2. Two 3-7/8 squares of the background fabric and two 3-7/8 squares of the same fabric that makes the corners on the black center - those corner pieces are four squares of 3-1/2. If it would help, I will do a step by step pic as to cutting and putting together. there seems to be much confusion by the link I posted. Many of us use the no waste flying geese method, which is explained in the link. The link IS NOT THE BLOCK we are making. If anyone is still confused, please pm me, and I will try to clear up the confusion.
