Good post. I buy a package of those skewers for BBQ and then cut them in half and glue a pretty glass bead on on end. It works great, is verrrrrrrrrrry cheap and is great to give to friends at retreats and classes. When you buy the beads, make sure the holes are smaller so you don't have to use so much glue.
