The best burn treatment I've ever seen is "Foile". It is a tube of ointment that smells like rotten eggs but it works wonders. You may have to ask your pharmacist to order it but I always have it in the kitchen.
When I was 14 y.o. my mom was seriously burned when a 100 gal coffee urn errupted and burned her face, neck and breast. The owner of the restaurant immediately applied Foile to the burned area and someone took her to the hospital ER (before 911).
They kept her in the waiting room untreated for five hours waiting for a burn specialist! (Long story, heads rolled.)
The doctor said foile was what kept her from blistering. She had 2nd degree burns and NO SCARS!
