I feed my bluebirds mealworms too. I whistle when I put the worms in their bowl and they come and eat before I walk back to the house. The male bird usually lets the female eat first. In the summer they love water. I get a mister for their bird bath and they play in the water. I have had a whole flock in the water at once on hot summer afternoons.
