We, too, have both veggie and flower gardens, as well as shrubs and shade loving plants. I sure hope we have better growing weather this year. It's been a couple of years since we had weather that was warm and/or dry enough for things like tomatoes. Last year was a real dud.
I have been doing some planning and will start seeds inside soon. Crossing my fingers, toes, eyes and anything else that we'll have a crop and can have our own flowers in the house this summer.
