Hello Redturtle, you might consided looking at the videos on youtube. Missouri quilts has lots on there for just about most any pattern. I find the easiers way to do triangles it to cut 2 squares a bit larger than you need, place them right sides together, draw a diagonal line on the lightest fabric then sew 1/4" away from the line on each side. Cut on the line and you have 2 matching half square triangle units. Then just square them up. Also look on the tutorials here. I am sure there are some good ones that will interest you.
