that was the last thing I checked and that was what is was !!
The first two things I do is rethread the bobbin and the top. A lot of times the thread will jump out of the up take lever. When threading the top you should always have your pressure foot in the up position. If you don't the thread will not lay in the tension disks because they close when the foot is down. It took me a lot of years of sewing before someone told me these things.
