I haven't tried the Misty Fuse (the lack of paper is intimidating) but if you are use to paperbacked fusible the Shades Softfuse is the one I would recommend. The finished appliqué is very pliable.
I’ve used it on this project (hair and eyes) and hand sewn the edges.
I love your Softfuse project. Is it your own design?
