So do you mean to
1. lay fabric right side down and equally fold each side of the strip into the center (overlapping raw edges a bit?) and
2. then zigzag those raw edges together,
3. then press with the zigzagged raw edges in the center? then apply to quilt edge as usual?
4. so the zigzagged line will be on the outer binding edge?
or am I way off base?
