When making these quilt blocks, Mariposa has asked us to make our blocks in 3" increments...plus the seam allowance, so a 3" finished block measure 3 1/2" , a 6" square block would measure 6 1/2" x 6 1/2", you could have blocks measuring 3 1/2" x 6 1/2", 6 1/2" x 9 1/2", and so on, etc. If your blocks don't measure 6 1/2", you'll perhaps want to border them to end up with 9 1/2" maybe?
