That's an excellent idea. Blood tests for the oat allergy will tell you a lot. And allergies rarely fade after childhood, perhaps you might ask your doctor about an Epipen to carry with you.

Of course, all the tests won't tell you everything you are or may be allergic to, but in doing it the doctor should give you some ideas on how to look for such things.

I would strongly suggest that you not eat anything prepared, use food that LOOKS like it is supposed to, and not shot from guns or enriched or manipulated or "improved" in any way at all. Nothing that comes in boxes. But be sure to go to your doctor. And let us know what he/she says, it might help others on this quilting site.
