My aunt gave me her old Commodore (kenmore precursor) when I was 8. I'm 42 now and still have it. My mom taught me to sew on her kenmore before that. I bought my first machine with my very first paycheck. it zigzagged and had fancy stitches. My Commodore is 69 years old and still sews strong.
