I have never posted pictures to this board before, but I sure have enjoyed seeing so many of yours. Just today I finished my version of Sunshine Rose Garden. The original quilt was made by Kathy Nakajima and was featured on the cover of Quilter's Newsletter in July/August, 2007. She did beautiful hand appliqued roses on the sashing. I knew I was not up to that but thought I would try machine embroidery instead. It has taken me nearly 2 1/2 years to complete, however, I have done other quilts in between. The compasses are paper pieced. It is hand quilted, which I enjoy but only so much. After finishing, I found two small holes in the white pieces of the compasses , so I took the time to remove and replace them. That made me nervous, but I think they came out ok.
