This is artifically colored some how, otherwise these orchids would be selling for thousands of dollars. My best guess would be there is coloring in the medium that the orchid is growing in and the plant takes up that color as the flowers are forming. That being said, it is still pretty and can be enjoyed.
You are right - the small print in the catalog says they are enhanced...and that later stems may be white...
