Oh yes! When I was about 14 my grandmother helped me make a pincushion with my own hair in it. Can't remember if any of hers went in it. I just found it the other day (I am packing and pitching 40 years' worth of stuff for a move to NM.) and it still had pins and needles in it. NO RUST and still sharp. In fact, I am using one of the needles to finish the binding on a quilt which I need to hurry up and finish before I hit the road to NM. Wow! Brought back memories.
