Piece of furniture for storage in a sewing room - being set up as we speak

I haven't gone to see it yet. But I love all the shelves.
I am trying to reorganize my sewing room/house. My DSGF (Darling Son's Girlfriend) is helping me redo the shelving in my sewing room. He has been going with her for over 2 yrs now.
My DS & DSGF spent a week at my home watching my 2 greyhounds (with ther 2 dogs) while we took a vacation.
She is an angel & is going to help me organize my house- I will tell you right now- if he breaks up with her - she will become my daughter and my son will become her DDBF.
The above piece looks like it would hold a lot of items - most of my fabric will be in the full length closet - but by only concern is - does storage have to have doors on it? Do you have to worry about the finish on the pieces you use to store items.
Do you think hubby will notice if I buy it and bring it home??? HEE HEE
