Candi have you quilted on a long arm before? There is a quilt shop in my area that rents their long arm and offers classes on how to use it. I want to take a few of my quilts with me to quilt on the long arm.

I wonder how difficult it is to use and how long does it take to quilt one quilt (lap size) on a long arm.
It all depends on what design you want to quilt. I did a large lap quilt, 70x88 with a computerized all over meander, it took just a little over an hour, though it took about 2 1/2 hours ro get it loaded on the machine. I find that's where most of the time is taken, I had a quilt have a big wrinkle in the back once (thankfully just for DGS who didn't care) so now I'm extra careful and check, check and re-check the way I have it loaded before I start quilting. You know, measure twice, cut once
