I too started with a Queen size snowball quilt about 5 years ago and was hand quilting it. It still awaits as other projects and ideas push themselves to the head of the pack. Days, weeks, months, years . . . yeap, done it all. Some seem to go together quickly and then sit waiting for the quilting guru to show me the pattern and some piece slowly, but the quilting pattern jumps out and finishes fast. I enjoy the process and the end product. I am curious about all the quilt magazines, techniques and classes that emphasize fast - where's the fun? I too work full time and have family demands so fit it in around a full schedule - the more I quilt the more I find the calm, excitement and satisfaction in the process
