Thanks to everyone for suggestions about the pretzels. I bought frozen bread dough and let it thaw. I made small balls9about 24 from each loaf) and rolled them into ropes.
I boiled them for 2 min. and placed them on a cookie sheet. I brushed them with an egg wash and sprinkled salt on them I baked them for 15 min. at 400 degrees. I took them to our church's Ash Wednesday meal. The is a story that the 3 holes in the pretzel represented the Trinity. The pretzels were well received last evening . I had many favorable comments.
