It is the "look" of so many vintage machines that make them so popular [and of course many people want the same thing as someone else has] I keep my vintage machine upstairs where I can see it so often as I walk by. It gives me a smile and I think she is so pretty dressed in her black attire. I don't know what feelings the feather weight will give me once I see mine but I will find out next month when my daughter brings it to me. I sewed many things on an old treadle when I was a kid and when I got married and became pregnant with our first child, I made a lot of baby things. I don't know what happened to that old gal but I do know she was well used. I don't want to become just a collector of old machines taking up space. However, I would buy one like that old treadle if I ever seen one like it. Enjoy your new [old] machine for what ever reason.
