HI! Andi, That's pretty much how I use the rulers but now that I think about the real problem is when the cutter gets beyond where I'm holding the ruler; so what you're saying does make sense. My biggest part of the problem is I have small hands and not very strong ones either; think maybe the double sided tape or the sandpaper dots might help alot. Thanks, Chris
