Hello,
Size of quilt is 50" x 70". You need 7 dark blue fat quarters or what ever color you are using.
22 5" panel squares or charms. The squares I used were from a panel that is the MN Shop Hop fabric
1-2/3 yd light blue
1 yd stripe for sashing and first border & binding. I made a scrappy binding.
Cut four 8"1/2 squares from each fat quarter. Use raw edge applique to put 5" squares on 22 of the 8-1/2" squares. Scatter randomly and tilt them. Did not applique on the four dark blue squares. Cut light blue 22-1/2" wide by 24-1/2" long. Cut two 1-1/2" x 24-1/2" strips and attach to sides of light blue rectangle (center). Sew rows together as in picture, putting 1-1/2" strips under rows 2 & 5. Sew the two blocks for rows 3 & 4. Border with 1-1/2" and 4-1/2 strips for outer border.
Hope this all makes sense. Just look at the picture and it will be easy. When I appliqued the 5" squares I just used quilting spay instead of stabilizer.
Have a nice day
Marlene
