To Granny Coy...the Cathedral Window pillow was one of the first quilted items I made as a beginner all those years ago, so I am sure you or anyone else interested can do it. Start by making something small with the pattern and then you can decide if you want to do a whole quilt. It is my all time favorite pattern and I have it on my list to make a Cathedral Window queen sized quilt. Remember you do not have to back it or use batting, so once you complete the front of your quilt, you are done. Other than the white or muslin material (I used natural muslin), all the stain glass windows are made using up your scraps. I was just pleased that it has held up so well after all these years!
