I just used flannel on both sides. I taped two pieces of computer paper together and traced a dessert plate on each end and then just drew the curved line to connect the lines, to make the pattern. It was so easy. I did put batting in the middle, but I am not sure you would have too. When I was making them, my husband came in and said that my son in law wouldn't like the flowers.
