Karen,

I bet each and every one of us has an experience like this-- whether we're new to quilting or not-- where we have a great idea, and then as we execute it, something shifts, and we're not so sure. I know I've had such an experience; in fact, I've recently been PM'ing with another quilter about this very topic.

What you've read here is that many others like what you've done. And your son will most likely love it too.

What you're also learning is what YOU like and don't like.
The good news is that this quilt isn't going on YOUR bed. I made a quilt for our bed that I also ultimately felt was too busy. Now it drives me crazy. So I'll replace it at some point. I learned what *I* like and don't.
You're learning the same, and your next quilt will reflect each lesson you learned, and offer you another lesson.... and on it goes.

Complete the path you started with this quilt, then move on to the next.

Best,

Jillaine
