I often think it's a shame when I see an old, often hand-pieced top given to an unsympathetic LAer just to be pantoed or stippled all over... But take a look at this link - it's a traditional Sunbonnet Sue top, pieced by it's owner's great-grandmother. And personally, I think that this long-armer did an absolutely fabulous and very sympathetic job on it. I think the finished quilt is now a prime example of how the old traditional can sit beautifully alongside our contemporary skills with modern machines. What do you all think? :D
