After all the good advice, and my DH's opinion, I am going with the green, because it will be used for a girl baby quilt, so the green is softer, but then I am using the rose and some of the original fabric for the borders and binding. I am thinking a small rose inner border and then a larger border of the original fabric and binding in either. Will have to play with those combos, and may come back for more advice.
