We woke up one morning about a year ago to find that water had come in under our front door and some walls on the front of the house. Called my son and daughter, they came over and brought all the towels they could find, and we went to work. The shop vac helped, but we still had the wet carpet to deal with, and other things were damaged. We've lived in our house since 1973, and have lots of rains that have flooded area creeks, etc., but this was the first time water had come into the house. I'm so sorry this happened to you. It's a pretty sick feeling to find such a mess. I'm thankful that you didn't have too much damage.
