You will make the problem worse. Wash your hair with dish soap, and then condition well. Luckily, you used a semi permanent, which will fade mostly. As it is a dark color, it will take much longer to fade than a lighter color. Dark pigments hold on longer. Really, if I were you, I'd let the salon fix it, but I understand wanting to do it yourself.

I'm going to try suggestions I've gotten here.
1. Wash my hair with Dawn dish soap a few times
2. if that doesn't work fast enough I'll just redye it with one color (the darker color) in the back. I'll leave my bangs alone. Maybe after they fade with the Dawn they'll end up lighter than the back after the re-dye.
3. Go to a salon if the above fails or if I have to go somewhere important. :D
