lgeorge, I used the double irish chain pattern for the quilt. I printed the pictures out on a piece of material then machine appliqued it on to the center plain block. I want to do one next inside the double wedding ring. You can be really inventive using your computer and scanning anything else you want or just printing something saved as a word document. (Like favorite poems, short stories about the family. When I do mine I have a wonderful story about my aunt that I am going to put on there. Good luck on your quilt.
